The future of aerospace manufacturing technical infrastructure designed by you. As part of our IT team, the Technical Architect will design the organisation's technical infrastructure on premise and cloud computing architecture and strategy. You will be responsible for contributing to the Safran Landing Systems (SLS) Enterprise Architecture strategy and contribute as a domain lead for SLS hosting and technical infrastructure environment. You will also contribute to the architecture blueprint to deliver highly available, cost-efficient, and scalable cloud environments.

What will I be doing?
- Innovate infrastructure, edge and cloud solutions
- Design technical blueprints - Schema - High-level - Low Level Designs
- Lead teams as the subject matter expert for Technical Architecture and participate in Agile Squads
- Partner with Operations and Information Security and Compliance
- Assess ROI and cost forecasting and management in designs
What do I need to succeed in the role?
- Experience with edge computing and hybrid cloud and on-prem design to accelerate cloud adoption and reduction of on premise infrastructure needs
- Expert experience in Disaster Recovery solutions and architecting highly available solutions on premise and in the cloud
- Monitor and evaluate the performance, scalability, security, and reliability of the IT solutions, and recommend improvements or enhancements as needed
- Strong knowledge of modern security architectures including SD-WAN, CASB, SASE and other Firewall technologies
- Experience with Agile project management methodology including JIRA Kanban
- Strong technical acumen in all of the following: operating systems, data centre, edge computing, IaaC, networking and cybersecurity
- Experience with or comprehension of legacy IT systems to design the blueprint to transform the legacy system to the cloud including cloud security expertise is advantageous
- Proven experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex business problems
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Experience in a large Manufacturing organization
- Significant experience as Technical/Cloud Architect focusing on AWS solutions
- Expertise in Cybersecurity frameworks and policy ie. NIST, ANSSI, Defence Cyber Protection Partnership (DCPP) and familiarity with Ministry of Defence guidelines
- Enterprise Architecture certification is required - TOGAF Foundations training is preferred
- Mandatory Certifications one of the following: Networking ie Cisco, Next Generation Firewall, VMWare or other Hypervisor certificates
- Preferred certifications CISSP, CEH, AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Associate, Storage on Dell or Netapp, NG Firewall and advanced Networking ie CCNP
