Aerospace Inspector Salary: £39,085 (increasing to £41,240 after training) + excellent shift premiums!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections on products and sub-assemblies using manual and CMM-based techniques.
  • Support production teams across multiple shifts (Day, Bridging, Night, Weekend).
  • Work to an established inspection plan and coordinate weekly delivery inspections.
  • Create and maintain initial documentation required for final sign-off.
  • Act as the inspection focal point for internal departments and external partners.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to reduce processing times and manufacturing hours.
  • Apply Lean Sigma and 5S principles within the inspection environment.
  • Evaluate, document, and sentence non-conformities in line with quality standards.
  • Maintain required approvals for product release.

  • An Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings.
  • Experience on manual and CMM view operations is preferred.
  • Confident communicator, amongst team members and with other business areas.
  • IT literate and able to learn new systems with ease.
  • Sound mathematical skills and a good problem solver.
  • Flexible in approach, willing to take on new responsibilities and you will have a 'can do' attitude.
  • An understanding of Lean Sigma disciplines and 5S principles.
  • Involvement in continuous improvement activities to reduce shop processing times and manufacturing hours.
