Act as the primary quality contact for the C929 program, representing Safran Landing Systems to the customer on all quality topics from development through industrialisation and initial series production. Own the Program Quality Plan, ensuring quality objectives, milestones and deliverables are defined, met and fully aligned with customer, regulatory and internal requirements, including robust flow-down into standards, processes and work instructions. Coordinate quality activities across integrated program teams, working with engineering, manufacturing, materials, supplier quality and other functions to embed quality into design, industrialisation and production. Deploy Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) across the program, ensuring product and process risks are identified early, controlled effectively and continuously improved. Lead the resolution of customer quality issues and escapes, managing corrective action requests and improvement plans, and driving cross-functional teams to implement robust, sustainable solutions. Manage product and process documentation with customers, ensuring accurate, complete and timely submission, approval and traceability, and responding to customer enquiries on quality, safety and product history. Prepare and present quality performance for internal and customer reviews, and support customer and regulatory audits and product conformity activities, ensuring findings are addressed and the quality system is strengthened. Drive internal quality improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities, coordinating projects and ensuring quality deliverables are provided on time, at the right maturity level and in line with program milestones. Coordinate with global Safran Landing Systems quality teams to align approaches, share best practices and ensure consistent management of program-related quality topics across all locations.
- Program Quality experience on Significant Aerospace Projects
- Successfully Managed APQP deployment throughout the development & Industrialisation phases of Program
- Will have extensive customer interface expertise with a proven track record of successful project management of this type.
- Able to take the lead with as Customer Interface to represent SLS in performing evaluation of means of compliance to Customer Requirements
- Experience of Inter-site & Inter-divisional Coordination related to program requirements to achieve appropriate milestones and regulatory and customer requirements.
- Strong awareness of SLS AS EN 9100 and EASA regulated organisation Management Systems
- Product familiarity with knowledge of assembly and manufacturing methodologies
- Hi levels of maturity in problem solving, 8D,
- Will possess skills in team building, managing change and facilitation.
- Will have experience / track record in Quality Tools,
- Minimum five years in an Aerospace Operational experience with focus on Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement.
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Strong Project Management ability
- Some experience in Product Design and Control Systems will be an asset.
- Must be an exceptional communicator, with excellent negotiation skills
