What will I be doing?
Manages, co-ordinates and is responsible for all aspects of financial management including regulatory and financial reporting, taxation compliance, cash forecasting and treasury related issues, maintenance of internal controls, co-ordination of the external audit, reconciliation of balance sheet and general ledger closing. Works closely with management accounting.
- Manages the Financial control team (total of 5 in the team including FC role)
- Monthly management accounts preparation and general ledger closing
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual BFC packs as required by Safran Group
- Ensures completion of all month-end presentations (Site review/BSC)/provides commentary
- Statutory accounting preparation and liaison with external auditors
- Preparation of the Corporation tax package and liaison with the tax consultants including liaison with group to support group tax relief requirements
- Reviews and signs-off monthly balance sheet reconciliations β integrity of the financial statements are paramount in this role
- Ensures adherence to internal controls policies and procedures working towards 100% compliance in all finance areas
- Reviews monthly cash forecasting (ROFO) and updates the balance sheet forecast/FCF model
- Review and approval of supplier payment runs from FSSC/manual payments on Trax
- Reviews and signs off payroll. Reconciles to forecast and Funding report.
- Oversees HMRC requirements
- Liaises with group financial staff and Financial Shared Service Centre
- Sets up Capex internal orders on SAP and releases CAPEX PR's and PO's
- Co-ordinates audit and taxation matters (including R&D tax credit claims)
- Ensures regulatory compliance (VAT, PAYE, PSA, Form 42 returns)
- Supports with government funding for R&D tax projects
- Quarterly departmental RITO review (risk assessment)
- Performs staff admin tasks (appraisals/return to work interviews/holidays and clocking's)

What do you need from me?
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified Accountant with broad finance experience (will consider QBE)
- Will have worked with ERP systems (SAP preferable)
- People Management Experience
- Team Player, ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and maintain confidentiality
- Accuracy and attention to detail paramount with the level of reporting responsibilities
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Good communication skills β verbal, written & presentation skills in a group setting
- Ability to follow up and take action where necessary
