As part of our Engineering team, as a Test Engineer at Safran Landing Systems, you will play a key role in the setup, execution, and support of landing gear test activities. Your focus will be on configuring and maintaining the control systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition setups required for structural, performance, and environmental testing. These tests are required for research and development, qualification, production and in-service support.

What will I be doing?
- Configuration of electro-hydraulic servo control test systems.
- Configuration of instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Configuration of optical measurement and 3D scanning equipment.
- Selection, integration and calibration of transducers.
- Design and build of bespoke control systems using hydraulics, pneumatics, electric drives, PLC and HMI.
- Development of test methodologies to meet customer needs, improve test capability and efficiency.
- Technical liaison with customers and suppliers.
What do I need to succeed in the role?
- Completed a mechanical or electrical apprenticeship.
- Experience in an aerospace environment in a hands-on capacity, preferably in a test environment.
- Able to work to technical drawings and assemble aerospace components and hydraulic system components.
- Experience of electrical calibration of transducers.
- Routing and wiring of electrical cabling may be necessary therefore, as part of the selection process, a medical assessment will be required for colour blindness.
- Experience of control and data acquisition systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel.
- Compilation of technical reports.
- Effective communication skills allowing you to liaise with internal and external customers.
- Great teamworking skills.
