The Role
As a Senior RAMS Engineer at Safran Electrical & Power you will provide advice and support at all levels on safety, reliability, maintainability and product quality so that our best-in-class aircraft systems comply with the relevant airworthiness requirements. You will also provide advice and support to the design and specialist teams, so systems are developed in-line with applicable regulations and standards. This is a rare opportunity to work with and be mentored by a highly skilled and knowledgeable RAMS Expert, so if you are looking for development and progression then this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Provide RAMS support to allocated programs or projects
- Support Business Development teams on RAMS related matters in bid proposals
- Provide advice and guidance on the safety, reliability, maintainability and testability aspects of the design of products at equipment and systems levels
- Perform various analyses such as FMEA, reliability predictions, common mode analysis, maintainability analysis and system safety analysis
- Carry out risk assessments as required by the business for potential safety issues
- Communicate and work with other Engineering teams effectively, delivering on work packages for both RAMS and Systems teams
- Help identify continuous improvement opportunities and contribute to the Safran Electrical & Power improvement journey
Desirable Experience
- A degree in a relevant engineering subject ideally covering some electronics, or other appropriate qualifications
- Experience working with electrical systems beneficial
- Understanding and experience of safety process and related analyses
- Solid knowledge of electrical generation & power distribution systems
- Good understanding of systems engineering processes and its application to the product life cycle
- Evidence of written English at interview stage
