As part of our IT team you will support the implementation of all engineering IS projects and new digital initiatives within the UK and Asia.
This includes providing support for servers, middleware, and databases. You will work with other IS groups to industrialise proven technology which includes, building servers, installing applications or provisioning in the cloud. What will I be doing?
As the conduit between our Engineering and IT teams, your role will be a blend of project management and customer engagement with a focus on actively supporting existing systems and applications, as well as analyzing and determining changes required to support new requirements.
This will include:
* Developing and maintaining relationships with IT teams, business owners, vendors, and leadership.
* Creating business process flows, value-stream maps, and related documentation.
* Coordinating with project managers to track task completion and ensure smooth project execution.
* Managing change processes for supported systems and applications.
* Reporting technical issues, recommending solutions, and collaborating with teams to resolve them.
What do I need to succeed in the role?
* It is crucial that you have experience working with a PLM system, with a deep understanding of its functionality. We use Siemens/Windchill, but we are open to candidates who have worked with something different
* Working with customers and users is at the heart of this role, so it\’s important you can demonstrate this
* Experience of CAD/CAM systems would be beneficial but is not essential
* We are open to candidates with experience in a more technical capacity within IT, or who have PLM experience from a functional perspective
* The successful candidate must be eligible for Security Clearance
