Job Responsibilities
- Use both manual and CNC machines to machine parts for use in electrical motors and generators.
- Ability to use a multitude of hand tools including screw drivers, pliers, torque wrenches, pneumatic tools and other manual hand tools.
- Take precise measurements using a multitude of equipment including micrometres, height gauges and air gauges.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to work area and processes.
- Operate machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Ability to manually handle products weighing up to 25kg, using lift aides where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Manual machining experience required.
- Preferred experience of Studer Grind, HAAS or NLX.
- Operating CNC machines changing tooling, programs and setups.
- Experience working in a high quality control and compliance environment.
- Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Evidence of written English at interview stage. This will be through providing certification of a formal English or technical qualification studied in the UK or overseas in English. If this cannot be provided you will be required to complete and pass an online SHL English comprehension test as part of the interview process.
