We are looking for talented individuals to join our Production team as a CAM Engineer at our Burnley site. Looking after the people who make Safran great is our priority. We offer a range of flexible benefits designed to support you-both in and out of work, including:

Your role: We are seeking a highly skilled CAM / Manufacturing Engineer to join our advanced industrialization team. In this role, you will drive the development, optimization, and support of manufacturing processes for cutting-edge aerospace products. You will work at the intersection of CNC machining, robotic automation, composite manufacturing, and sheet-metal processes, ensuring that production systems are safe, efficient, repeatable, and cost-effective. This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on, high-technology environment and enjoys solving complex industrial challenges.

What you'll bring:
Essential:
- Technical Expertise - Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering within advanced or Leading-edge industrial environments (ideally aerospace).
- Deep understanding of CNC machining, 5-axis programming, robotic cells, and composites manufacturing.
- Experience with sheet-metal CNC processes, including laser welding and laser cutting.
- Proficiency in structured programming languages (ISO, C++, VBA or similar).
- Familiarity with CATIA V5 or equivalent CAD systems.
- Familiarity with Delmia or equivalent robotic programming/control systems.
- Strong understanding of ERP and PLM systems used in engineering and supply chain environments.
Process & Industrialization:
- Ability to define, design, and optimize manufacturing processes with a focus on TAKT, flow, ergonomics, and objective cost.
- Experience creating SOPs, work instructions, quality control points, and inspection methods.
- Strong capability in PFMEA, SPC, and structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC).
Communication & Leadership:
- Clear and concise communicator (written and verbal).
- Ability to escalate issues appropriately and make accountable decisions.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to represent company interests.
- Effective team player with cross-functional collaboration experience.
Analytical Skills:
- Ability to analyse complex problems and synthesise actionable solutions.
