As a Top Bonding Operator, you will play a crucial part in our manufacturing process, directly contributing to the delivery of high-quality products for our customers. Key responsibilities include:
- Health & Safety: Adhere to the Company's Health and Safety Policy, using appropriate PPE and following specific safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Production Quality: Deliver excellent quality products and superior service to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring strict quality control and product safety at all stages.
- Policies & Procedures: Comply with SAFRAN's policies and procedures, with a focus on continuous improvement and streamlining processes.
- Material Handling: Manage materials in and around the Paintshop and Bonding areas; maintain equipment and ensure a high standard of workplace organisation (5S).
- Preparation & Finishing: Prepare, bond, and finish products using various tools, materials, and methods in accordance with SAFRAN quality standards and process documentation.
- Inventory Management: Maintain effective management of parts and materials and ensure product protection throughout the process.
- Tool Validation: Check all production tools for valid maintenance and calibration status, and promptly report any issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion quality basics and promote a culture of continuous improvement and cost reduction within the business.
- Collaboration: Foster positive working relationships with peers and contribute to the achievement of business goals.
- Support: Provide assistance to other departments and actively engage in process improvements.
Proven experience using a variety of products, materials, and tools with a high degree of manual dexterity - Essential
Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team to meet production targets - Essential
Experience interpreting process documentation and work instructions to ensure compliance - Essential
Good spatial awareness - Essential
Experience in environmentally controlled production environments - Desirable
Knowledge of COSHH regulations and environmental controls - Desirable
Experience implementing and following 5S workplace organisation principles - Desirable
Flexible Benefits: 37-hour working week over 4.5 days, with early Friday finish (role dependent)
