As a Reliability Engineer (Electrical Bias), you will be a vital member of our maintenance engineering team, delivering essential support within a cutting-edge production environment. You will work on scheduled preventive maintenance, resolve machine breakdowns, and proactively drive initiatives to prevent recurring failures, all while using your problem-solving skills and technical expertise to keep operations running smoothly.
- Carrying out scheduled preventive maintenance and attending to machine breakdowns promptly and safely
- Applying advanced fault-finding techniques for both electrical and mechanical issues
- Responding to machine faults outside of core hours, sharing call out responsibilities on a team rota
- Proactively generating and implementing solutions to reduce repeat machine failures
- Reporting maintenance activities and findings in a structured and professional manner to internal customers
Essential
- Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or equivalent proven experience in Electrical Maintenance
- Strong skills in electrical maintenance, with sound mechanical knowledge
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics clearly and accurately
- Experience with maintenance management systems (SAP)
- Effective team working and strong interpersonal skills
Desirable
- Experience with CNC machines, automation, control systems, heat treatment, pneumatics, hydraulics, pressure vessels, compressors, vacuum pumps
- Knowledge of PLC systems (I/O fault diagnostics)
- Understanding of Reliability Centred Maintenance and Condition Based Monitoring techniques
- IPAF & FLT training (will be provided if not already held)
