As a Supplier Quality Engineer at Safran, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and continuous improvement of our supplier network, supporting both operational excellence and overall program performance.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a key interface between suppliers and internal teams, ensuring clear interpretation and communication of quality requirements.
- Lead and support supplier quality activities, managing non‑conformances and quality issues within agreed timelines.
- Monitor and report on supply chain quality performance, including the creation and deployment of metrics to support business objectives.
- Provide support for First Article Inspection (FAI) activities, including modifications or supplier transfer projects when required.
- Conduct supplier reviews covering all quality aspects, driving continuous improvement and supporting APQP deployment across programs.
- Carry out capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection and qualification.
- Perform analyses, tests, and process audits to ensure manufacturing and testing readiness.
- Provide Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions for non‑conformances.
- Execute internal audits to maintain and ensure compliance with AS9100 Quality Management System requirements.
- Proven experience in Quality within a technical or industrial environment.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier management and direct collaboration with suppliers.
- Experience in quantitative/statistical analysis, including data collection, preparation, and interpretation.
- Proven experience in root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of effective corrective actions.
