Our Industrialisation Department is responsible for the development and introduction of exciting new and updated products into production on time, to cost and to a high quality standard.
This is brilliant opportunity for you to join Safran as a Manufacturing Engineer where you'll harness your knowledge and understanding of the new product introduction process and work at an advanced beginner/competent level.
As Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for complex projects & will work closely with other functions like design engineering to ensure the product designs meet manufacturing and assembly requirements.

- Participate in design reviews for new product introduction process
- Evaluate new product designs using 3D CAD model and mock-ups and log issues - Co-ordinate design for assembly/manufacture reviews
- Ensure development mock-ups are built to schedule. - Make improvement suggestions and validate solutions - Work with the purchasing and design departments
- Calculate production capacity requirements based on customers' demand an
- Estimate build times and required number of stations for new production processes and carry out line balancing of operations - Produce APQP & PPAP documentation - process flow, PFMEA, control plan, work instructions, MSA & capability studies - Prepare and lead PFMEA reviews. - Perform validation and verification of product design to satisfy customers quality and performance expectations
- Support the programme team in the delivery of industrialisation milestones (PDR, CDR, Test builds, PTR and PPAP) - Check accuracy of BOM against build requirements
- Participate in and contribute to route cause analysis sessions - Communicate tasks on a critical path to programme team

- B. Eng. in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering OR HND gained through an apprenticeship
- HNC in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering - apprenticeship
- Min 2 years of experience in an aerospace or automotive manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of design for manufacture and assembly principles
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Experience of 3D CAD modelling software
- Interpret 2D drawings
- Expwerience of working in company and regulatory processes
- Expeirence of CATIA 3D CAD modelling software
- Understanding of aircraft certification process wpould be a nice add
