Safran Helicopter Engines UK is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead operations at our European Maintenance Centre Hub. The Maintenance Manager holds full operational leadership for Safran Helicopter Engines UK's European Maintenance Centre Hub. The role ensures that all engine maintenance activities - including Pre Induction, Civil and Military Maintenance Centres, and off site interventions - are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Lead day to day EMCH operations and deliver against Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity and TAT targets
- Plan and balance workload, capacity and production across PI, MCC and MCM
- Manage subcontracted activity and drive weekly/monthly performance reporting
- Develop, coach and grow a high performing team; maintain skills and competency matrices
- Champion QRQC and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure full compliance with HSE and EASA Part 145 requirements
- Act as EMCH ambassador with customers and global Safran Maintenance Centres
- Manage budgets, KPIs and corrective actions
- Support customer crises and co host the annual EMCH Seminar

Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven experience managing MRO or maintenance operations within aerospace or defence.
- Experience within Safran Helicopter Engines or an equivalent turbine OEM/MRO environment.
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing 10+ direct/indirect reports.
- Familiarity with helicopter engine platforms (e.g., Arrius, Ardiden, Makila).
- Financial acumen including budget ownership, cost control and margin management.
- Exposure to military MRO contracts and associated regulatory requirements.
- Track record of delivering against Safety, Quality, Cost and TAT KPIs.
- Experience managing subcontract relationships (e.g., TUAG or similar).
- Proficiency with QRQC or equivalent structured problem solving methodologies.
- Lean / Six Sigma certification or equivalent CI qualification.
- Ability to manage senior level customer relationships.
- French language skills (due to close collaboration with Support France).
- Excellent verbal, written and cross functional communication skills.
- Experience presenting at senior customer facing events or seminars.
- Strong working knowledge of HSE obligations in an industrial/MRO environment.
- Familiarity with EASA Part 145 regulatory framework.
- Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related discipline.
- Eligibility to work in the UK without restriction.
