Your Role

Join a global PMO team driving project management excellence across a portfolio spanning 11 sites in 7 countries.

You will lead governance, reporting, capability development, and continuous improvement initiatives from within the Actuation World HQ, while shaping the next generation of Project Management talent through our industry leading graduate and apprentice programmes.

Key responsibilities include

  • Directly leads a centralized PMO team that has ownership of the best practice standard works, tools and processes that enable the PM output of the business.
  • Provides functional support and guidance to over 100 project personnel globally covering circa 450 projects at any given time
  • Key partner to all Value Streams and central functions within the Actuation portfolio, driving a ‘One Actuation' culture across the PMO function ensuring that the Value Stream needs are understood and effectively met to deliver the long range plan.
  • Drive consistent project management governance, standards, tools, and best practice across the global portfolio.
  • Manage and enhance the Project Management graduate and apprentice programmes, including recruitment, mentoring, and career pathways.
  • Lead portfolio reporting, performance metrics, dashboards, and data-driven insights to support senior leadership decisions.
  • Develop project management capability through training, skills assessments, accreditation, and professional development initiatives.
  • Champion continuous improvement, PM maturity growth, audits, and process enhancements to improve project delivery performance.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience in Project, Programme, PMO, or Portfolio Management within aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • A Strong passion for coaching and development of Project Management staff to continuously develop the PM function pipeline at all levels of the business
  • Highly accomplished communicator with an eye for detail, utilises a large variety of styles and media to convey message across a full gamut of topics
  • Long term strategic thinker with the ability to distil the key steps required to reach the business objectives
  • Experience leading capability development initiatives, including training, coaching, mentoring, or professional development programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, using data and insights to improve project delivery performance.
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline; APM, PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, or equivalent qualification advantageous
