Your role: As an Assembly Fitter, you'll play a critical role in our MRO operations, assembling and testing single aisle family landing gears. You'll work as part of a diverse team to complete the required quantity of shipsets per week to meet our customer's expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test Airbus Single Aisle family nose and forestay, and main gears and sidestays, with quality being at a high level.
  • Continuous improvement on improving the quality and efficiency of both the assembly and test of the units.
  • Deliver a product in line with quality, cost, and delivery.

Job Requirements:

What you'll bring:

  • An Engineering Apprenticeship (preferably gained within the aerospace or manufacturing sector) or a Level 3 NVQ
  • Knowledge of working with and assembling complex mechanical products
  • Experience in reading component maintenance manuals, drawings, engineering layouts and additions to the original design such as Service Bulletins, and Service Letters
  • Ability to use a wide range of precision measuring and test equipment
  • Have an understanding of basic electrical circuitry for fitment and test of harness/switches etc
  • An understanding of Lean Sigma disciplines and 5s principles
