The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced External Scheduling Manager to lead supplier scheduling activities and ensure the successful delivery of material and components to support customer demand.
This role is responsible for managing the External Scheduling process, developing detailed supplier schedules, and driving supplier performance to achieve On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets.
Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will proactively manage risks, develop recovery plans, and ensure supply chain continuity across your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the External Scheduling process for assigned suppliers.
- Develop and maintain detailed supplier schedules in line with customer demand.
- Drive supplier performance against OTD targets and service level expectations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to identify delivery risks and implement recovery plans.
- Monitor supplier capacity and performance to support production requirements.
- Escalate issues and risks appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Analyse supply chain performance data and develop improvement actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.
- Lead and develop team members to achieve business objectives.

- Supply Chain experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong supplier management experience
- MRP2 process knowledge
- ERP systems and Supplier Portal experience
- Ability to lead and develop a team
- Supplier performance management
- Negotiation and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Experience managing delivery performance and recovery plans
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and supply chain systems
