We are looking for talented individuals to join our Supplier Quality Team as a Supplier Quality Team Leader at our Burnley site. Safran Nacelles designs, integrates and provides support and after-sales service for aircraft nacelles. The company is a global leader in the market for commercial aircraft with more than 100 seats, business jets and regional aircraft.

Your role:
In this role, you'll lead daily SQ activities, manage supplier NCRs and corrective actions, drive continuous improvement, and ensure robust controls are in place to prevent disruption to production. You'll be the key interface between Safran and our supply chain, championing quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Leading Supplier Quality Engineering, Coordination & Goods Inward Inspection
- Managing supplier audits, NCRs, concessions & eradication plans
- Ensuring timely containment, characterisation & communication of issues
- Driving APQP, DVI validation & supplier improvement actions
- Supporting quality crises to minimise QCD impact
- Collaborating across internal teams to protect production flow
- Recovering non‑quality costs and ensuring supplier accountability
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring
- Essential Aerospace / Regulated Industry Quality Experience
- Strong understanding of quality standards within aerospace or a similar highly regulated environment.
- Knowledge of Quality Tools & Methodologies
- Practical experience using tools such as: 8D, APQP, FMEA, Lean / Six Sigma principles
- Strong Communication & Collaboration Skills
- Able to work effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Analytical & Data‑Driven Mindset
- Confident in analysing supplier NCRs, trends, and quality performance data to drive decisions.
- Ability to Maintain Confidentiality
- Handles sensitive supplier and business information with professionalism.

- Ability to guide SQ Engineers, Goods Inward Inspectors, and coordinators in daily activities.

- Logical, structured approach to root‑cause analysis and non‑quality eradication.
- Knowledge of Concessions, Pre‑Releases & Quality Walls
- Understanding of containment strategies and supplier control mechanisms.

- Comfortable presenting data, leading discussions, and supporting quality‑related decisions.
- Experience in Crisis or Escalation Management
- Ability to support or lead supplier‑related quality crises to protect QCD performance.
