Company Overview: Safran Seats is a leading manufacturer of first and business class seats for wide‑body aircraft.

Location & Working Mode: Location: Cwmbran, South Wales. Hybrid – 3 days on site. Relocation support available.

Role Overview: Senior Electrical Design Engineer – responsible for producing electrical installation models and detailed drawings for new product and platform designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design 3D harnesses, electrical schematics and block diagrams.
  • Integrate electrical systems within aircraft seats.
  • Create 2D/3D electrical installation and system designs using CATIA V5 and PLM software.
  • Participate in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product Introduction process.
  • Validate the product using prototyping and testing.
  • Contribute to the development of best‑practice guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Alternatively, a HNC / HND or equivalent with experience in a technical role.
  • Experience with 3D CAD & AutoCAD electrical software.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members.
