Overview
As a Test and Development Engineer you will plan, organise and execute tests to support development and qualification of Safran products within the R&D Test team. You will maintain testing capabilities and implement innovative processes. Your data analysis will identify trends and drive improvements. You will work hands-on with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems to qualify and validate components, contributing to Safran's mission to advance aerospace technology at scale.

Responsibilities
- Perform electrical and mechanical development and qualification tests on Safran products using high-speed drives and instrumentation
- Carry out mechanical and electrical testing of Safran Group products
- Maintain and install mechanical equipment; construct hydraulic circuits
- Install system wiring in test cells, manage high and low current setups
- Modify test rigs to accommodate new equipment/components
- Assemble prototypes/development units
Key requirements
- Engineering-related qualification (mechanical or electrical) with experience in development activities
- Ability to assemble and test test rigs with laboratory instrumentation and software
- Basic knowledge of development engineering aspects (Compliance Verification, Technical Risk, documentation) and instrumentation use
- Ability to follow procedures and work independently or in a team
- Positive, flexible, proactive approach
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Desirable: basic knowledge of rotating machines (3-stage and permanent magnet)
- Desirable: experience with Data Acquisition Systems and analysis tools (Dewesoft, LabVIEW, DASYLab)
