Overview
As a Compliance Monitoring Engineer at Safran Seats, you ensure the Repair Station operates in full regulatory conformity and adheres to EN9100 standards.
You will act as the main liaison with EASA and UK CAA Part 145 authorities, supporting audits and driving a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
The role sits within the Aftermarket Quality Team and collaborates across Safran Seats GB to uphold quality in maintenance and repair activities.
You’ll enable safe, compliant operations at scale and contribute to a proactive quality ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Maintain the Quality Management System for the SGB repair station and ensure compliance with EASA/UK CAA Part 145 and EN9100 (Repair activity)
- Be the main contact point for regulatory bodies for Part 145 and support repair station personnel and certifying staff
- Support external and internal audits to ensure AS9100 and Part 145 compliance
- Manage audit findings, non-conformances, CAPA, and assist root cause investigations
- Develop and promote a strong safety culture and SMS maturity within the Repair Station
- Develop and manage the internal audit programme across the Repair Station, including Part 21G audits
- Collaborate with Quality Compliance, Aftermarket and other Safran Seats teams on quality system matters
- Provide training and coaching in quality improvement tools, Human Factors and best practices
- Monitor repair station documentation and procedures; assist in governance of documentation
- Travel as needed for cross-BU benchmarking and audits when required
- Key requirements
- Apprenticeship level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
- Quality background with experience in MRO (P145), Aviation Safety (SMS) and Human Factors
- Strong ability to communicate with external (Customers, Authorities) and internal stakeholders in a multicultural environment
- Good knowledge of process management
- Competent in MS packages
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Sound engineering/quality background with experience in quality inspection in manufacturing/engineering
- Confident communicator with a full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally; role may involve physical movement of products
