Mastering the on-board energy system, the company designs and provides modular, innovative and optimised architectures and solutions. Your RoleLead the delivery of Safran's most complex and strategically significant engineering development programmes, providing direction across multiple projects, global teams and senior stakeholder groups.

Partnering closely with the Project Chief Engineer, Programme Managers and executive leadership, you will drive programme performance, customer satisfaction and business outcomes while shaping best practice across the wider project management community. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and govern major engineering development programmes, ensuring delivery against performance, cost, quality, schedule and business objectives throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Act as the senior programme interface for customers, partners, suppliers and executive stakeholders, building trusted relationships and driving successful programme outcomes.
  • Define and execute programme delivery strategies, ensuring alignment between technical, industrial and commercial objectives across global teams.
  • Drive achievement of development milestones, Non-Recurring Cost (NRC), Recurring Cost (RC) and risk-reduction targets while maintaining robust programme governance.
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional, multi-site Integrated Programme Teams across engineering, industrialisation, procurement, quality and supply chain functions.
  • Lead programme reviews, steering committees and key decision forums, providing clear recommendations and escalation paths for strategic issues and opportunities.
  • Oversee programme risk, opportunity and change management activities, ensuring informed decision-making and effective mitigation of technical and commercial risks.
  • Champion project management excellence, continuous improvement and the adoption of best practice methodologies, tools and standards across the wider organisation. But what else?   • Degree qualified in Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related technical discipline, or able to demonstrate significant equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience leading large-scale engineering development programmes within aerospace, defence or another highly regulated industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex programmes against demanding cost, schedule, technical performance and quality targets.
  • Excellent executive stakeholder management skills, including experience leading customer relationships at a strategic level.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of project and programme management methodologies, governance frameworks, risk management and change control processes.
