Overview
In this role you act as the primary quality contact for the C929 program, representing Safran Landing Systems on all quality topics from development to initial production. You own the Program Quality Plan and ensure alignment with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements. You coordinate quality activities across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers, embedding quality into design and production. You lead customer quality issue resolution and drive cross-functional improvements that strengthen the quality system. This position offers a chance to influence quality at scale across global teams and supplier networks.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main quality liaison for the C929 program with customers across development, industrialisation and initial series production.
- Own and drive the Program Quality Plan, ensuring delivery of quality objectives, milestones, and evidence of compliance.
- Coordinate quality activities across engineering, manufacturing, materials and supplier quality teams to embed quality in design and production.
- Lead APQP deployment to identify and mitigate product and process risks early and continuously improve.
- Lead resolution of customer quality issues and escapes, manage corrective actions and drive cross-functional solutions.
- Manage product and process documentation with customers, ensuring traceability and timely responses to enquiries.
- Prepare and present quality performance for reviews and support audits and conformity activities.
- Drive internal quality improvement initiatives and ensure timely delivery of quality deliverables aligned with milestones.
- Coordinate with global Safran Landing Systems quality teams to harmonize approaches and share best practices.
Key requirements
- Significant Aerospace Project quality experience.
- Proven APQP deployment across development and industrialisation phases.
- Strong customer interface and project management experience.
- Experience in evaluating means of compliance to customer requirements.
- Inter-site and inter-divisional coordination experience.
- Familiarity with SLS AS EN 9100 and EASA regulated management systems.
- Knowledge of assembly/manufacturing methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving (8D) and change-management skills.
- Experience with Quality Tools; hands-on APQP, SPC, FMEA, and 8D is an asset.
- Minimum five years’ aerospace quality assurance and continuous improvement experience.
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
