Overview
As a Programme Manager at Safran Landing Systems, you lead UK and international defence programmes from opportunity shaping to execution. You’ll coordinate across functions, manage QCD and export/security compliance, and engage customers to align requirements with business goals. Responsibilities
- Lead new defence programme opportunities using market and customer insights to shape strategies
- Drive bid activities (RFIs/RFPs) and define scope, feasibility, planning and QCD commitments
- Act as a senior customer-facing representative supporting negotiations and aligning requirements
- Establish and lead Integrated Programme Teams (IPTs) post-contract
- Manage overall programme performance including QCD, profitability, risk and compliance
- Lead programme security across UK military programmes and support audits
- Oversee Export Control governance for UK Military and Commuter programmes
- Champion programme management best practice and continuous improvement
Key requirements
- Degree-level qualification in Engineering, Business or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience in defence or aerospace with military contracts and complex partnerships
- Proven cross-functional programme/project management experience from concept to delivery
- Strong customer-facing leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Good commercial and financial understanding with contractual knowledge
