Supporting both theCivil and Military marketsin the UK, Ireland and across sub-Saharan Africa, the company's UK facility in Fareham is theEuropean Maintenance Centre Hub (EMCH)for the Safran Helicopter Engines group, performing level 1 to 3 maintenance/repairs on Arriel, Arrius, Makila and RTM322 engines either onsite or at our customers' facilities.

About the role
Safran Helicopter Engines UK is seeking a skilled and motivated Machinist to join our New Production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out precision machining operations on aerospace components in accordance with OEM manuals, engineering specifications, and work instructions.
This role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing professional with a strong understanding of machining processes and precision measurement techniques who is committed to delivering quality products in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate single-sided and double-sided lapping machines in line with work instructions and OEM standards.
- Measure and inspect components to ensure they meet specification and quality requirements.
- Maintain production targets for quality, utilisation, and on-time delivery.
- Support manufacturing activities across production areas as required.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation.
- Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and company procedures.
