Introduction
Safran Engineering Services is seeking a dynamic and proactive Project Manager to lead and coordinate multiple Research & Technology (R&T) initiatives for our esteemed customer, Safran Electrical & Power. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of innovation in aerospace electrical systems, contributing to cutting-edge technologies and sustainable aviation solutions.
The ideal candidate will be confident, autonomous, and capable of managing multiple project trackers, KPIs, and stakeholder expectations. You will play a pivotal role in driving project success and will deputise for the manager when required, ensuring continuity and strategic alignment across all R&T activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple R&T projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and internal objectives
- Maintain and update project trackers, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor progress and performance
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure timely delivery of project milestones
- Prepare and present project status reports to internal and external stakeholders
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity
- Deputise for the manager in meetings, decision-making, and reporting activities
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Requirements
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in managing multiple engineering or R&T projects, preferably in the aerospace or electrical systems domain
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Excel)
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical mindset with a focus on KPIs and performance metrics
- Experience in deputising or supporting senior management is a plus
Desirable Attributes
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP)
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and development cycles
- Experience working with Safran or similar Tier 1 aerospace suppliers
