In order to develop and expand the capabilities of SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK, we are looking for a Loads Engineer to join our growing team for initially a 12m fixed term contract.
Load calculations used for sizing study of future aircrafts or for major MODs. Determination of:
- Ground loads (Landings, Brakings, Turns, Rollings, ...)
- Flight loads (Longitudinal and Lateral Manoeuvres, Load Alleviation Functions, Gust, Failure cases ...)
- Component loads: calculation of the loads on specifics parts (NCF, HTP, Ailerons, pylon, ...)
- Aeroelastics calculation (Flutter calculations, control surfaces limit cycle oscillations)
Requirements
- Mechanical / Aerospace / Structural Engineering degree
- Technical skills: Flight Physics, Flight Loads, Ground Loads, Aeroelastics, Aerodynamics
- Know the behavior of an airplane, to have physical sense
- Coding: vbA, Python
- Tools: Matlab
- Strong ability to plan and schedule activities across multiple modules
- Effective communication skills, able to clearly define expectations and gain understanding
- Team spirit with a capacity to interact with multicultural teams
