Your Role
You will deliver industrialisation for new and modified products and manufacturing processes, ensuring readiness for production, process validation, and cost objectives are met. You will champion effective process development, supporting efficiency and innovation across the entire process development lifecycle. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll lead small teams to execute industrialisation plans, ensuring adherence to Safran's standards and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating industrialisation for new/modified products and manufacturing processes.
- Designing processes and developing controls including PFMEA, process flow, VSM, and control plans.
- Supporting production readiness (PPAP/FAI), capability studies, issue resolution (8D), and design for manufacture/assembly/testing.
- Qualifying new tools, machines, and working practices.
- Acting as a focal point to resolve production issues.
- Collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations functions to deliver key work packages.
- Applying governance such as APQP/PPAP, MSA, SPC, OneSafran, ERP/MES, and regulatory requirements.
- Leading process improvement initiatives using LEAN methods (SMED, 5S, Poka-Yoke, waste reduction).
- Conducting risk assessments and readiness checks for production launch.
- Building costed routings and supporting capex business cases.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in manufacturing & industrialisation environments, and strong knowledge of APQP/PPAP.
- Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience level.
- Broad production engineering expertise including cost-down, DFM/DTC, and ability to challenge design and manufacturing techniques.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvement activities.
- Desirable: Lean qualifications Green belt, Black belt etc.
- Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process FMEA's, DFM & DTC activities.
- Experience building strong supplier relationships.
