Job Summary
To manage product requirements, specifications & their compliance throughout the product development cycle using validation & verification processes.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Work within a cross-functional project team of up to 20 people, including external teams/suppliers for work package management and development.
- Report directly to the Project Technical Integrator.
- Provide analysis, data, and documents to team members and the Project Technical Integrator, including validation & verification KPIs, verification plans with full requirements traceability, design specifications for sub-systems, compliance matrices & KPIs, and requirements traceability matrices.
- Liaise with the project team to coordinate requirements validation and compliance status, and create robust verification plans.
- Travel within the UK or internationally as required to liaise with stakeholders and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage engineering project requirements, ensuring documentation and traceability as per the Requirements Management Plan.
- Capture & validate stakeholder requirements, review with Subject Matter Experts and Test Engineers.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure timely completion of validation & verification activities.
- Develop and agree on product verification strategies with stakeholders.
- Provide status reports on requirements, compliance, validation, and verification.
- Create and maintain product specifications for internal and customer approval.
- Coordinate with Engineering Design / DMU configurator for product configuration management.
- Manage Interfaces / Definition Control Models to ensure requirements traceability.
- Support engineering change processes and proposals during NPI projects.
Job Requirements
Knowledge, Experience, Training, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Systems, Electrical, Chemical, Software, or Computer Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in an engineering development project team (Design, Stress, Manufacturing, or Certification Engineering).
- At least 1 year of experience in Systems Engineering requirements management, validation & verification.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods is desirable.
- Experience in progressing DFMEA with cross-functional teams is desirable.
