We\’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to help shape the future of our manufacturing systems and processes. In this key technical role, you\’ll be the link between our customers, suppliers, and internal teams—ensuring manufacturing is built into product design from the start. You\’ll lead technology introductions, manage complex improvement projects, and drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing systems.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background, aerospace manufacturing experience, and a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
• Lead the technical direction for manufacturing systems, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, cost, and compliance targets are met.
• Act as the main technical interface with customers, suppliers, and internal design teams to ensure products are designed for manufacture.
• Drive the introduction of new manufacturing technologies and support the creation of technology roadmaps.
• Oversee manufacturing system design, including standard work, cell design, process simulation, and takt-based logistics.
• Lead New Product Introductions (NPIs) and major manufacturing method changes.
• Apply tools such as PFMEA to reduce process risk and improve system performance.
• Manage relationships with equipment suppliers and support make-vs-buy decisions.
Job Requirements
Essential skills:
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing, assembly, and test.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• HNC (apprentice-trained) or degree in Engineering/Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
Desirable skills:
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with Design for Manufacture/Automation.
• Project management qualifications (Prince 2, APMP).
