General Assembly Apprentice – Pitstone
Full‑time, onsite apprenticeship programme at Safran. The programme spans 42 months and combines on‑the‑job training with classroom learning, leading to a Level 3 Engineering Technician qualification.

What you'll be doing
- Completing rotational placements across manufacturing and repair areas
- Learning to produce and refurbish aerospace components and assemblies
- Interpreting engineering drawings and planning work activities
- Developing skills in assembly, inspection, testing, balancing and winding
- Working to aerospace quality standards and internal processes
- Operating machinery in line with standard operating procedures
- Following all health & safety requirements
- Contributing to team performance and continuous improvement
Additional programme details
- Years 1–3: 1 day per week at College, 4 days onsite in Pitstone
- Exposure to support functions including Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Industrialisation and Logistics
- Assigned mentor and buddy for ongoing support
- Regular reviews with college, management, mentor and HR
