We're looking for an IT Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our Digital Technology team on a 12month FTC, playing a key role in maintaining the performance, security and reliability of our IT infrastructure across our Wolverhampton and Banbury sites.

Working alongside the Senior IT Infrastructure Support Specialist and the wider Digital Technology team, you'll provide hands-on technical support across a broad range of infrastructure technologies.

From system monitoring and maintenance to infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives, you'll help ensure our IT services remain secure, resilient and aligned with the needs of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise, contribute to exciting infrastructure projects and make a real impact within a collaborative and forward-thinking technology team.

  • Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, networks, storage systems, and infrastructure components
  • Configure, support, monitor, and troubleshoot infrastructure systems including servers, networks, storage, and virtual environments
  • Provide 2nd/3rd line infrastructure support for escalated technical issues
  • Assist with infrastructure upgrades, deployments, and improvement projects
  • Support server, network, and endpoint maintenance activities
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security
  • Assist with patching, system updates, and vulnerability remediation activities
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and support procedures
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
  • Work with third-party vendors and support providers when required
  • Assist with implementing infrastructure standards, security controls, and best practices
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability, performance, and user experience
  • Participate in infrastructure-related project delivery activities
  • Escalate risks, recurring issues, or service concerns appropriately

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in an IT infrastructure support or engineering role
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure technologies
  • Understanding of networking concepts including switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
  • Experience supporting virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and related technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working within an IT service management environment
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Good communication and customer service skills
