Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organisedFreight Forwarderto join our logistics team based inWitham, Essex. This is an on-site, full-time role ideal for someone with a strong background in European groupage services post-Brexit.
You will be responsible for managing the full freight forwarding process—from quoting to invoicing—ensuring smooth transportation of goods, excellent customer service, and accurate documentation for both imports and exports.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily logistics and freight forwarding operations
- Oversee end-to-end forwarding processes, including quoting, booking, documentation, tracking, and invoicing
- Handle export and import procedures in compliance with current regulations
- Run a groupage service effectively, coordinating multiple consignments and delivery schedules
- Liaise with transport partners, customs agents, and clients to ensure timely deliveries
- Provide consistent and professional customer service throughout the shipping process
- Maintain accurate records and ensure full compliance with relevant legislation
Requirements
- Proven experience infreight forwarding and logistics, particularlyEuropean groupage services
- Strong understanding ofexport/import documentation and procedures
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
- Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and freight systems
- Previous experience in a logistics or transportation setting isessential
