Saffron Vantage is recruiting a Forklift Driver (Counterbalance) for a permanent, late-shift position in the Ely area. Our client is a well-established business supplying products across the UK.
Main Responsibilities:
- Receive deliveries and check goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Move stock safely around the warehouse, both manually and using a counterbalance forklift.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load goods by forklift, ensuring orders are ready for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate stock records and complete relevant paperwork.
- Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and organised.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
- Support the wider warehouse and logistics team as required.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous warehouse experience is essential.
- A valid counterbalance forklift licence is essential.
- Confident operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently.
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within the business.
This role would suit an experienced Forklift Driver who takes pride in their work, works well within a team and is looking for a stable, permanent position with opportunities for career progression.
Hourly Rate and Working Hours
- Pay rate: £14.15 per hour.
- Overtime: Enhanced overtime rates available.
- Working days: Monday to Friday.
- Shift: 15:30–00:00.
- Location: Ely area.
- Contract: Permanent.
