Saffron QA is the recruitment partner to a successful and expanding software testing consultancy. The organisation has a reputation of providing high calibre software testing services within the financial services sector. In this position, you will be expected to attend client site up to 3 days per week.
As a Defect Manager, you will take ownership for the Defect Management process for a client programme, ensuring it is operating effectively and efficiently. You will manage defect triage, reporting, quality and processing of the defects raised on a programme.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
- Experience operating as a Defect Manager on a project/programme within the financial services industry.
- Ability to drive resolution of defects via effective communication with teams and suppliers.
- Taking ownership of the quality assurance of the defects to ensure they clearly articulate the problem statement, and all other aspects of the defect have been reported correctly and meaningfully.
- Stakeholder management across 3rd party suppliers.
- Managing defects across system test, SIT, UAT and NFT.
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise own workload to achieve those deadlines.
- Experience in adapting to changing requirements, priorities and timelines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure quality of defect reports, process and reporting.
This position is being offered on a permanent or fixed term contract basis. Must hold British passport or ILR due to background checking process.
