We have an exciting opportunity for a Janitor to join our Voids and Planned Maintenance Team to help provide a safe, secure and clean environment for the tenants of our Housing with care and Housing with Support schemes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertake simple maintenance and basic DIY activities in communal areas & properties
- Undertake, monitor and maintain Fire Safety checks, Health & Safety and security of the scheme.
- Undertake cleaning/window cleaning and general duties as required.
- Check all lighting and security features on the scheme
- Carry out legionella tests in empty properties on the schemes

Our ideal candidate will have/be:
- The ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of the specific needs of vulnerable and older people.
- Numerate and able to keep stock records
- A clean full driving licence and use of own vehicle
- Basic DIY and maintenance skills
- An understanding of the specific needs of vulnerable and older people.
- Willing to undertake mandatory training in COSHH and Fire Safety.
- The ability to communicate clearly and have a flexible approach to work.
