Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Janitor to join our Voids and Planned Maintenance Team to help provide a safe, secure and clean environment for the tenants of our Housing with care and Housing with Support schemes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Undertake simple maintenance and basic DIY activities in communal areas & properties
• Undertake, monitor and maintain Fire Safety checks, Health & Safety and security of the scheme.
• Undertake cleaning/window cleaning and general duties as required.
• Check all lighting and security features on the scheme
• Carry out legionella tests in empty properties on the schemes

Our ideal candidate will have/be:

• The ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of the specific needs of vulnerable and older people.
• Numerate and able to keep stock records
• A clean full driving licence and use of own vehicle
• Basic DIY and maintenance skills
• An understanding of the specific needs of vulnerable and older people.
• Willing to undertake mandatory training in COSHH and Fire Safety.
• The ability to communicate clearly and have a flexible approach to work.
