Long Stratton, Norwich, Norfolk

Permanent, Full Time - 37hrs per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Grounds Maintenance team to maintain empty homes, play areas and block communal sites that Saffron manage to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain and prepare Saffron’s open spaces using powered hand tools and commercial ride-on mowers.
  • Maintain communal grassed areas, shrub beds, hedges and parking areas including green waste removal.
  • Apply Herbicides/Biocides where necessary to public open spaces.
  • Maintain all open spaces to the recognised standard and specifications using powered hand tools, mowers to industry best practices.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant experience and knowledge in all types of commercial grounds maintenance (green space) management.
  • Relevant experience of working with commercial powered hand tools (Brush cutters, hedge cutters, blowers) and ride-on mowers.
  • Holds a Front Loader qualification and NPTC Units NPTC PA1 + PA6, Woodchipper would be advantageous.
  • Able to work as part of a team and also able to work independently without the need for close supervision.
  • Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to liaise with various audiences.
  • Ability to use a mobile device (mobile phone/tablet) to manage workload, send and receive emails, access apps and MS Teams for meetings/training.
  • Full, current, valid driving licence with B + E Trailer entitlement or equivalent.
