The HR Advisor, called a Talent Management Advisor (TMA) internally, will work across the whole employee cohort of the client population for the London Teams and the Dublin office, offering advice and guidance on key issues such as employee relations, employee performance and employee retention. They will work closely with the Talent Management Leads.

Responsibilities:

  • The TMA will have responsibility for the majority of ER issues that arise in their relevant function area and require strong Employment Law knowledge, confidence in resolving issues informally and advising the relevant line managers and/or Staff Partner on good and fair practices.
  • They will help guide managers on performance issues and be the first point of contact for these types of queries.
  • The TMA will work closely with the TML to support the Partners and leaders within the client group supported, and where required and appropriate, lead certain projects and initiatives.
  • The role undertakes specific project work for group or firm-wide initiatives, working closely with the TML e.g., ensuring timelines are met, deliverables are set and contribute towards the development of the content for these initiatives.
  • The TMA will provide support, mentoring and advice to the People Operations Administration team and provide training and support as well as be at hand to help answer ad hoc queries, etc., working closely with the People Operations Manager.
  • The TMA will be comfortable with analysing and presenting data e.g., monthly MI reporting, engagement survey results, exit interviews, leavers and sickness analysis etc., in order that these may make a meaningful impact on the people management of the client group.
  • The TMA will work closely with the People Operations Manager to review current processes to check for quality of outputs and value delivered by the People Operations team.
  • Collaboration across the People Operations and the wider People Experience teams is key to the success of this role.
  • The TMA will be expected to share knowledge and lessons learnt with the broader People Experience team to ensure any necessary changes and updates to processes, policies and systems have been made.

  • Relevant experience within a specific area of work in professional services or a partnership.
  • Requires broad or specialised knowledge from advanced specialised training, work experience or a relevant degree or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including communicating with technical and non-technical clients and staff at all organisational levels.
  • Able to use judgement and experience to tackle issues and seek advice on more complex problems.
  • Team-focused mentality, understanding that the function must work collaboratively to drive success.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to be persuasive and the ability to coach and motivate others.
  • Strong analytical skills, based on relevant systems and models.
  • Strong computer literacy and understanding of relevant software.
  • Keeps up to date on all required training.
  • High levels of commitment and ability to act when necessary.
  • Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
