The role involves joining our International Private Client tax team in London, primarily focused on high-quality personal tax compliance and providing tax advice for a varied and complex client base. Our clients include high and ultra-high net worth individuals, non-domiciled clients, and those with complex cross-border tax considerations, UK and offshore trusts, and partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery of all aspects of the tax compliance cycle on a timely basis for your client portfolio.
- Preparation of tax returns for a complex and varied client base.
- Preparation of written correspondence for clients and dealing with HM Revenue & Customs regarding clients' affairs.
- Corresponding directly with clients, family office representatives, and other key stakeholders, as well as attending client meetings.
- Working with managers, senior managers, directors, and partners to deliver tax advice and tax planning for clients.
- Monitoring WIPs and budgets, ensuring work is billed on completion and debts are chased.
The team:
The International Private Client team is led by five partners with extensive experience in managing a varied client base, including those with complex cross-border tax considerations. The team consists of 30 staff who collaborate to deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services.
You:
- Possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Have a high level of motivation, ability, and commitment.
- Experience in running the compliance cycle for your own portfolio of clients.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines.
- Ideally have experience in providing ad-hoc tax advice, including inheritance, capital gains tax, and non-dom planning.
- Some experience working with clients with international considerations.
- Come from a professional services background.
- Be a confident communicator with colleagues, partners, and clients.
- Comfortable working independently as well as being a good team player.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a timely manner.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Educated to at least ‘A’ level standard, ideally graduate level, and should have obtained the CTA qualification.
