As an Audit Manager or Senior Manager in our growing Not‑for‑Profit team, you'll play a key role in delivering high‑quality audit and advisory services to a wide range of organisations across the sector. The Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a varied portfolio of charity and not‑for‑profit clients, delivering audits and advisory work tailored to your clients' needs.
  • Take ownership of engagements from planning to completion, while working collaboratively with your team to ensure quality, insight, and compliance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering technical guidance on accounting, practical advice on controls, and wider advice.
  • Support business development through tenders, networking, and identifying opportunities to add value within existing relationships.
  • Mentor and develop audit seniors and trainees, contributing to a culture of learning, support, and shared success.
  • Stay informed on regulatory and sector developments, particularly those affecting charity governance and reporting.
  • Contribute to firm‑wide initiatives including recruitment and training.
  • Use systems such as MS Teams, Excel, Word, CCH Audit Automation, CCH Accounts Production, and Inflo to manage workflows and deliver high‑quality outputs.

Our Not‑for‑Profit practice is one of the most respected in the sector, acting for over 400 organisations in a range of sectors including education, environment, grant‑making, and heritage. Our team are well renowned and have ambitious plans to further expand our presence in this sector. The role provides a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, friendly team whilst being able to develop this role and our client base further. Our clients include start‑up charities and centuries‑old livery companies, clubs and membership organisations, social enterprises, independent schools, service delivery charities, grant‑giving foundations, endowed trusts, theatres and cultural institutions. Clients value our pragmatic advice, deep sector knowledge, and genuinely partner‑led service. We work closely together, sharing knowledge and supporting each other to deliver outstanding client outcomes.

You

ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong audit background. Experience working with charities or not‑for‑profits is essential for this role. Strong familiarity with the Charities SORP and VAT/tax issues affecting charities. You're personable, professional, and commercially minded, with excellent communication and organisational skills. You take pride in your work, and thrive in a collaborative, professional environment.

A 35 hour working week with a hybrid working policy with the flexibility to work from home for up to three days per week (our core hours are 10‑4). Excellent benefits including contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual leave, Life Assurance cover and great flexible benefits and family friendly policies. Eligibility for the firm's Profit‑Sharing Plan. Paid in December. Eligibility for the discretionary bonus scheme.
