People Operations Team Leader (People Experience) – London
The role
This role is responsible for ensuring all people administration across the employee lifecycle is delivered efficiently, accurately and to a high standard.
- The responsibilities
- Consolidate People Experience processes into a centralised service area, standardising delivery across the firm to meet employee needs, support engagement and retention, and protect employee data.
- Streamline processes to reduce cost, duplication and unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Provide a consistent service to employees and the wider People Experience team, ensuring accurate and timely data.
- Ensure the People Operations team has the skills, systems knowledge and confidence to provide effective administrative and advisory support.
- Build shared team knowledge to enable cross-specialist support during absence or peak demand.
- Ensure People Operations data is processed in line with data protection requirements.
- Produce people data reports for monthly Management Board updates.
- Work with wider teams to improve processes, manage workload effectively and make best use of HR systems.
- Manage service level agreements, ensuring quality, timely delivery and regular reporting against agreed measures.
- Maintain clear, up-to-date process and service documentation to support transparency, onboarding and review.
- Continuously review services, identifying opportunities to automate, improve analytics and raise service levels.
- Lead global mobility and secondment activity, coordinating immigration, payroll, tax, travel and onboarding requirements.
- Manage relationships with internal teams, external advisers and international partners to support mobility compliance and improvement.
- Uphold Saffery values and protect the firm’s employment and HR brands, representing the team positively.
- Support team development through training, knowledge building and progression opportunities.
- Build internal and external networks to stay informed on People Operations and employee experience trends.
- Supervise and monitor the work of a team to ensure that processes and procedures are properly implemented and that the team is achieving defined objectives and standards.

This role is part of an experienced People Experience team supporting 10 Saffery offices across the UK and Ireland in a collaborative, development-focused environment.
- You
- Experienced practitioner with relevant qualifications, such as a degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience of supervising colleagues, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with policy and procedure.
- Able to manage most situations independently and provide advice to others.
- Experience of interpreting policy and developing procedures/systems.
- Experience of producing data reports for boards.
- Able to analyse complex information and assess its impact on the discipline and wider firm.
- Experience in global mobility, supporting international assignments, secondments and immigration compliance.
