About The Programme

The training contract takes at least four years to complete, with full support and access to first‑class tuition centres. AAT Level 4 qualification provides exemptions; otherwise trainees must complete the full ACCA or ICAS programme.

Your Role and Development

The role provides varied, client‑facing work that includes advisory elements and often deals with high‑profile clients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing management accounts, reconciling all key account balances, and tailoring presentations for each client.
  • Assisting and advising clients on accounting systems issues, including software migration.
  • Agreeing and executing payment runs on clients’ behalf using a variety of online banking platforms.
  • Preparing VAT and Intrastat returns.
  • Preparing year‑end financial statements.
  • Carrying out and reviewing ad‑hoc tasks such as cash flows, budgets, and information for third parties.
  • Maintaining relationships with clients and taking ownership of projects and tasks as appropriate.
  • Processing work on Xero and other accounting software.

What You’ll Need

Minimum of 120 UCAS points from top 3 A Levels or Highers (excluding General Studies and AS Levels). Minimum of B (or 6) in National 5 or GCSE Maths and English Language. AAT qualification is welcomed.
