As a key member of the Finance Department, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the firm's budgeting and forecasting cycle. As part of the wider FP&A team, you will also have the opportunity to broaden your experience across other areas of planning, reporting, and business insight, as well as contribute to ad‑hoc projects, including those linked to ongoing transformation across the firm.
Responsibilities
- Analyse group budgets, forecasts and long‑term plans, including sensitivity analysis, and provide clear insight for operational and group‑level review.
- Maintain and refine forecasting and reporting tools used by Finance and senior leadership throughout review cycles.
- Prepare high‑quality presentations and supporting materials for budget, forecast, and performance review meetings.
- Produce and review monthly, quarterly, and year‑end management accounts, delivering meaningful commentary and analysis for the Senior Leadership teams.
- Coordinate and facilitate quarterly forecast and planning meetings with operational leads and senior management.
- Carry out ad hoc financial analysis, project work, and research to support business decision‑making.
- Review operating costs and capital expenditure, analysing trends and variances to highlight risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
The team
The Finance department is a close‑knit team of 25 talented professionals, bringing together expertise across three specialist areas: Financial Control, Financial Operations, and Financial Reporting. We're a collaborative, supportive group who take pride in delivering high‑quality work and continuously improving how we partner with the business. In this role, you will work closely with and report to the Director of Finance, joining a team that values curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to get stuck in.
You
You bring strong financial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate insights into meaningful recommendations. You have experience working with budgeting and forecasting models, ideally within financial or professional services, and are confident managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Use of Emburse/Elite 3 is preferable. You're highly organised, detail‑oriented, and proficient in Excel, with the ability to work accurately at pace. You build strong relationships quickly, communicating clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders. You are committed to delivering excellent service to internal stakeholders and thrive in a collaborative environment. Will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
