Our growing and evolving transfer pricing team is looking for an experienced Transfer Pricing Manager to further expand our transfer pricing service line offering. You should have a solid foundation of providing transfer pricing advice across a variety of industries and sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, friendly team and to develop this role and our client base further. The role has arisen due to increasing demand for transfer pricing services from our growing portfolio of international entrepreneurial clients requiring transfer pricing solutions. You should have practical experience in advising on the UK's transfer pricing legislation. Candidates who also have a broad knowledge of international corporate tax principles will find this a challenging and rewarding role.

The Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage and deliver our transfer pricing projects on technical input, resource requirements and costs, reporting into the transfer pricing director.
  • Have broad practical and theoretical transfer pricing experience across a range of sectors and industries, including practical experience of advising and implementing the various transfer pricing methods.
  • Deliver practical and robust transfer pricing advice to our client base and deliver TP design and documentation projects to a high standard, for sign off by the transfer pricing director.
  • Be experienced with advising on intellectual property transactions including DEMPE analysis, business restructuring and implementing transfer pricing solutions.
  • Work with the transfer pricing director and tax partners to grow our transfer pricing service line offering in our regions, being jointly engaged in building our pipeline of opportunities.
  • Assist with proposals, budgets and developing new work streams for transfer pricing both internally and externally within our regions, including the audit of transfer pricing.
  • Proactively project manage the delivery of transfer pricing solutions for our client base, including multi‐territory projects.
  • Work with and build relationships with the wider client service teams in your region.
  • Train, coach and help to develop the junior members of the transfer pricing team.
  • Lead on the financial management of your portfolio and proactively manage this.
  • Respond proactively to client and partner needs, ensuring effective and consistent communication with relevant stakeholders.

The Team

The Transfer Pricing Team forms part of Saffery's Corporate Tax team. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation of providing sound transfer pricing advice across a variety of industries and sectors of transfer pricing specialists, who live our firm's values and is a collaborative and dependable team member. Our team is led by two Transfer Pricing Directors, one of which founded the team and reports into our Head of Corporate Tax. The team is a national resource and services the Saffery offices nationally. The team is based in multiple locations but meets in person regularly. It is a small but rapidly growing team with its members spending all of their time on marketing, tendering and delivering transfer pricing projects as well as being involved in relevant international tax aspects of our transfer pricing client base.

  • The role would suit a qualified individual with several years post qualification experience in transfer pricing.

  • Should be educated to degree level or equivalent, hold either ACA/CTA/ADIT/law qualification or international equivalents.

A 35 hour working week with a hybrid working policy with the flexibility to work from home for up to three days per week depending on business needs (our core hours are 10-4). Eligibility for the firm's Profit-Sharing Plan. Paid in December. Eligibility for the discretionary bonus scheme.
