Our clients include all the major Hollywood studios, major streaming networks as well as many independent film, television and video game studios headquartered in the UK and overseas.
We also work with many other businesses ancillary to production, such as film financiers, visual effects and post-production houses and other service providers.
The FTVG tax team specialises in advising clients claiming creative sector incentives, we provide tax advice and deliver corporate tax compliance and reporting services to our clients.
The Opportunity Due to significant growth, we are looking for an ambitious and driven senior manager to join our team in London.
The role offers the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting clients in the sector, helping them to navigate a complex tax landscape and fully benefit from the tax incentives available.
You’ll play a key role in delivering tax services to our clients and will help develop and shape the tax team.
There is scope to make a real impact and progress quickly within this growing team.
The Responsibilities Work with the tax director to lead and develop a team of ten corporate tax professionals.
Manage the day to day working of the team, including talent development and recruitment.
Undertake tax advisory projects with close collaboration with FTVG and tax partners and directors, including advising on the operation of the creative sector tax reliefs, and supporting our clients with tax planning and structuring of productions.
Oversee the delivery of corporate tax compliance and reporting engagements with responsibility for the tax relationship with key clients.
Keep abreast of tax changes impacting our clients and provide tax technical leadership within the team.
Deal with HMRC on enquiry responses and collaborate with the team on policy initiatives.
Assist with business development, identifying opportunities and pitching to clients.
What we look for We are seeking an experienced corporate tax professional with a background in professional practice or equivalent in-house experience.
Previous sector experience (including experience of creative sector tax credits) is not a requirement.
An interest in our clients, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous professional development is needed.
To qualify for the role, you must be professionally qualified ACA/CTA (or equivalent) with significant UK corporate tax experience.
You will be enthusiastic and technically capable, with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
The position will require leadership, teamwork and commitment, with the ability lead and inspire a team.
You will possess the confidence and professionalism to establish credibility at all levels, be commercially minded, and have a clear perception of client requirements.
