The responsibilities include frequently dealing with challenging technical issues. The candidate can expect the role to encompass the following areas amongst others:
- With the support of the Head of Department and other staff, responsibility for developing relationships and new business opportunities to provide a range of tax and other services.
- Overall responsibility and accountability for a group of clients, with excellent technical expertise in your field.
- Skilled at leading and managing the relationship with clients, with the aim of developing new business from your current client base and beyond.
- Responsibility for encouraging and developing associate directors and other staff members.
- Ensuring excellent client service whilst minimising conduct risk.
- Contributing to the management of your department and/or office if relevant.
- Work with our internal fee earning partners to develop our go to market strategy.
The team comprises 7 partners and over 100 professionals across 9 office locations. The Corporate Tax teams deal with a large portfolio of companies operating in various sectors, including manufacturing, technology, retail, recruitment, financial services, hospitality and property.
The role would suit a qualified individual (for example ACA/ACCA/CTA) with several years post qualification experience in corporation tax. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Strong UK tax technical skills.
- Ability to analyse tax technical queries and provide robust advice and solutions.
- Project management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines and monitor budgets.
- Responsibility for the delivery and quality of work.
- A clear client focus with a commitment to building strong client relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
- Coaching and mentoring skills to develop other team members.
