You will be an integral part of the Financial Control and Partnership Accounting team, supporting the delivery of statutory, regulatory and management accounts across the business. This role offers broad exposure across the finance function and is well suited to a newly qualified chartered accountant looking to build experience in a collaborative and high-performing environment. The Financial Control team provides high-quality accounting support to the business, with a strong focus on financial accuracy, good governance, and effective risk and control management within the Finance Department. The role is hybrid and the finance team is based in the London office two days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare statutory, regulatory and management accounts accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and reporting requirements and all reporting deadlines.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Support the preparation and review of financial information for internal and external stakeholders, including partners and senior management.
  • Respond proactively to queries from stakeholders across the business, building strong working relationships and providing clear, professional financial insight.
  • Produce analysis to support decision‑making, identify trends, and improve the quality of management information.
  • Assist with the year‑end audit process, preparation of supporting schedules, and delivery of year‑end reporting requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, taking ownership of assigned tasks, reviewing controls, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support the preparation of regulatory returns and statutory accounts for non‑UK entities, ensuring deadlines are met and outputs are accurate and well documented.
  • Assist with tax and VAT reporting requirements, ensuring submissions are prepared accurately, supported by appropriate documentation, and completed in line with internal and external deadlines.
  • Review existing processes and controls, recommend improvements where required, and support the implementation of more efficient and effective ways of working.

Team

The Finance department consists of 45 finance professionals operating across three specialist areas: Financial Control, Financial Operations and Financial Reporting. This role works closely with the Financial Control and Partnership Accounting Managers and reports into the Head of Financial Control and Partnership Accounting.

You

  • Newly qualified chartered accountant (ACA) with strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Experience preparing statutory, regulatory and management accounts, ideally within a professional services or financial services environment.
  • Excellent Excel skills, with the ability to analyse data efficiently, identify issues, and produce clear and reliable outputs.
  • Collaborative and proactive, with a professional approach and the confidence to build effective working relationships across teams.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, with the ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, solve problems effectively, and communicate clearly in both written and verbal form.
