Job Overview
This is a key role within our organization and involves providing competent safety advice to our range of keys clients, throughout Scotland.
The successful candidate will carry out H&S audits, provide clean advice and guidance on compliance requirements and best practice. This can include writing risk assessments, developing safe systems of work, and advising on practical requirements and training options.
Opportunity to develop HSE&Q Management systems and support through third party certification.
Critical: The successful application MUST live in or around the Aberdeen area and be able to travel throughout Scotland
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage your client base and arrange support visits as per contractual requirements.
- Carrying out audits and producing action plans to reflect.
- Assisting the clients with the implementation of their action plan.
- Updating the clients Online Health & Safety Management System. This is a system Safetynet Scotland provides for all our clients to help them manage their obligations more efficiently and cost effectively.
- Development of policies, processes and procedures in line with client requirements.
- Working closely with the other members of the team to improve the client offering i.e. sharing industry knowledge, improving policies and procedures, updating current templates
- Keeping your H&S knowledge up to date in line with current UK health and safety law.
Qualifications and Attributes
We have a range of clients in many industries and therefore we are looking for candidates with a broad practical knowledge base, with a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent. You will ideally be Cert IOSH and working towards Chartered status or extensive experience demonstrating equivalent knowledge and commitment.
- The ideal candidate will hold Cert IOSH or CMIOSH status.
- NEBOSH General required, NEBOSH Diploma preferred, or equivalent qualifications.
- Requires the ability to communicate with all levels in a variety of workplaces, to build relationships and work with the client to determine practical solutions to meet compliance obligations within their business.
- Training qualifications and experience desirable.
- Lead Audit qualification and experience developing ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO45001:2018 desirable.
- Be able to carry out fire risk assessments. This can be either small simple premises or ideally more complex larger site assessments.
- Full UK driving license.
