Drive Global Commercial Performance Through Sales Insight

Imagine working for a company where your role genuinely matters for the planet and directly influences how a global business grows commercial performance. We are a global leader with over 50 years’ experience, helping businesses operate more safely, responsibly, and efficiently through our specialist cleaning, waste, and environmental services. We support customers with critical operational needs while helping reduce environmental impact.

The Opportunity

We have recently completed a major ERP migration, and we’re now in the next phase: turning that data into sharper sales insight, faster decisions and stronger commercial performance. We’re hiring a Sales Insights & BI Analyst to build the reporting and analytics that help leaders drive sales performance across the organisation. This is a hands‑on, technical role where you’ll use Power BI and SQL to design scalable reporting solutions, analytical models and KPI frameworks. Working in a central team, you’ll shape how sales performance is measured across the business, with a clear line of sight from insight → action → impact.

Why this role is different

  • Shape how Safetykleen measures and improves sales performance across a global business
  • Build the reporting, KPI frameworks and insight that help leaders spot risk earlier, improve conversion, strengthen productivity and protect / grow revenue
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders in a flat structure where insight can quickly influence action
  • Connect data, teams and decision‑making across the sales journey - from pipeline and activity through to conversion, performance and growth
  • Combine hands‑on BI delivery with real commercial influence in a highly visible role where you can see the impact of your work in real time

What you’ll be doing

  • Own reporting and analytics requirements across key sales and commercial areas
  • Build dashboards, KPI reporting and analytical models that improve visibility of sales performance and support faster, better decision‑making
  • Deliver reporting and analytics against agreed priorities, with particular focus on unlocking actionable insight from the new environment (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
  • Build robust analytical data models using SQL and Power BI, working with the BI Infrastructure team to ensure reporting is built on common group standards, data and approach
  • Act as a subject matter expert in relevant functional areas, building strong relationships with functional leaders to improve adoption, challenge thinking and identify future reporting opportunities
  • Support and enable analysts across the wider Safetykleen organisation and champion the value of data and analytics across the business

Who this could suit

You could be coming from a BI Analyst or Senior BI Analyst role with strong Power BI and SQL capability; a Sales Analyst, Commercial Analyst or Revenue Analyst role with experience turning performance data into practical business insight; a BI Developer role with strong modelling capability and stakeholder exposure; or a reporting or analytics role supporting sales, commercial or operational teams in a multi‑site, international or ERP‑enabled environment. What matters most is that you know how to build reporting the right way, understand how data moves through a business process, and can translate complex information into insight that leaders use. This is a BI/reporting role focused on Power BI, SQL, KPI reporting and analytical modelling. It is not a software engineering role.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in business analytics, reporting or data‑driven decision‑making roles
  • A strong track record of report delivery and creating actionable business insight
  • Expertise in BI tools especially Power BI
  • Experience using SQL for data querying and analysis
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confidence partnering with senior stakeholders
  • Commercial curiosity with a mindset focused on performance improvement
  • Microsoft D365 and Fabric an advantage

The Package

£65,000 - £70,000 annual salary plus Company bonus (10%), 30 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, 5% Contributory Pension scheme, Family life assurance (3x salary), private healthcare from day 1, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, Cycle to work scheme, Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 confidential helpline support, and access to learning opportunities to support career development.

If you’re looking to accelerate your career with real breadth, visibility and influence - while staying close to the technical work - this is a standout opportunity. Safetykleen is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.
